Across the span of starlit space,
Two boys who've never met
Are unaware their paths will cross;
Their meeting's distant yet.

A hybrid born on Vulcan sands,
Cool logic guides his life.
A child still, his future's mapped;
He even has a wife.

In Iowa, a human boy
With adventure in his genes,
Dreams of a life away from Earth
He'll get by any means.

The tie that binds such distant souls
Is visible by night.
It glitters with their hopes and dreams,
And futures that are bright.

Vulcan's sister world, T'Kuht,
And Terra's neighbour, Mars,
Are each seen in just one boy's sky,
But both can see the stars.
